From a young age Tylok was always fascinated with the magitek of the Garlean Empire. He volunteered with the Ala Mhigan Resistance, fighting against the Garlean Empire. His real value to the resistance was his knowledge of magitek and aetherchemical manipulation. Now that the war is over he looks to build new things to improve the everyday lives of all Eorzeans.These days Tylok spends a good amount of time assisting the Skysteel Manufactory in Ishgard, teaching students and apprentices. He owns the Summit Side Estate in the Empyreum, where he runs his business out of.
